2010 Gardening

Couldn't wait any more, last Sunday (31st Jan 10) I planted a few different types of chillies, in my new heated propagator :o), some leeks, some peas, and some broad beans.
This year I'm going to put some recipes on the blog along with some pictures of my fine culinary creations ;o)

Ordered some steaks from the Argentinian online butchers Pampas Plains - highly recommended if your a meat lover!

Tomato "Gardener's Delight"

Sunday 29 March 2009

Has a busy day yesterday. Finally pulled the old shed down in readiness for the new one, hopefully coming next Friday. Managed to do it only getting hailed on once!
Just need to lay some flags down and level off, then I'm ready to build.
Before and after :-

I also did my first planting in toilet rolls. Microwaved them for 1 minute first (to kill the fungus in the glue apparently). Planted 5 Sweetcorn Earlisweet and 5 Early Onward Peas.
I also sowed 22 Marigold seeds in a windowsill propagator.
4 Tomato "Gardeners' Delight" looked like they were doing well so I put them in 3" pots.

Wednesday 25 March 2009

Planted 4x Earlisweet Sweetcorn inside in pots today.

Here are some pics from finished plot with the sweet peas garlic and carrots, and greenhouse (that only just survived the recent wind)
